Was visiting family and friends in Sacramento area and had to make another stop at this wonderful establishment! As usual, I was not disappointed. This time around I had the Cowboy Burger (I believe this is what it was called). It came with a big burger patty that was topped with pulled BBQ pork and onion string rings. They replaced my regular burger bun with a croissant bun. This buttery and crispy addition was amazing and tasty. The entree came with fries and pickles. Service was amazing and very attentive, which is always a plus. Staff is very friendly and professional. Everything tasted fresh and definitely makes me want to come back. Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu! Definitely would recommend anyone looking to try a new spot with amazing food.

Waited over 30 minutes for our food. Then it was cold and didn't taste good. They still charged me for my meal even after I complained. Not coming back.

By far the tastiest burger I have had in ages. Everything truly is fresh and yummy. The service could be a little faster at lunch but time and time again it is worth the wait. I will be back often

More like a slow version of Denny's and the food was not that good :(. Disappointing.

My visit to Grandma's Kitchen was great. Friendly staff, greeted me and my family at the door, and although it was a busy sunday morning, my food came out fast and just as I ordered it. Clearly this is our new place for sunday breakfast

Avoid this restaurant at all costs!!! I do not understand how this restaurant received an overall 4 star rating!! They must have had friends, family and staff give them 5 stars. I wish I had the option of no stars. We will never go back!! Our overall dining experience took over 2 hours! We had to wait at least 20 minutes before even giving our drink order, in which we had to get up and go to the hostess and ask her if we could get some drinks. They basically stuck us in a corner and forgot about us. The waiter was snotty and never even apologized or kept us up to date on what was happening with our food. It was finally after an hour and a half that we finally started to get our food. The fries were cold and were not the buffalo fries we had ordered. The hamburger was overcooked and had burned crispy fried onions on top. The eggs benedict had shells in it! The quesadilla was burned. The waffles were so cold that the butter wouldn't even melt. The waiter and the owner/manager had attitudes as well. Honestly, this was one of the worst dining experiences of my life!

Absolute perfection! Everything from the food to the service. Claude was our waiter and he was just amazing. Very considerate and sweet. Food is all fresh (no freezer!) and mostly local produce and ingredients. Price is moderate and portions are also good. I had the steak and eggs, which was divine and both my kids had pancakes and eggs. They got delicious chocolate milk with free refills. The potatoes are really good and not oily at all. Love this place. Definitely our new fav breakfast place.

Oh my goodness!!! This place is amazingg! I've been twice already. I'm a sucker for chicken tenders and these are by far the best I've ever had. They're made fresh everyday after having soaked in a buttermilk concoction overnight. They come with fries and I opted for the Buffalo fries. Spicy sauce with blue cheese crumbles? Yes please! The service was great. Really attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back soon! Thanks Grandma's Kitchen!

Loved this place! Super yummy. We had the breakfast burritos, pancakes with cinnamon apples, and eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious!! Go There!!!

New favorite breakfast place! Good food, great service. The jams are homemade and the potatoes were real potatoes fried with bell peppers and great seasoning. The bacon was thick and tasty. My friends had the sausage and both of them really liked it. Can't wait to go back to try more breakfast items and lunch!

I eat at several breakfast restaurants in the area, so I tried Grandmas Kitchen. I had the omelette special. The omelette was OK. The potatoes were not crispy or crunchy. The toast was not toasted. I would not recommend going to this place.

I stopped by Granada's Kitchen after church wanting to try them for breakfast, but realized that I had forgot my coupon on my kitchen counter, so I left my family in the car, went into the restaurant and asked the hostess if they would accept my coupon without my having to drive home and get it as I really wanted to try this new restaurant out and bring my entire family in for breakfast. However, the hostess talked to the owner and said they would not honor the coupon unless we had it in our hand. Shocked, being that this is a newer business who were turning away customers who had wanted to try them out and may very well have been regular customers, we decided to leave and go somewhere else for breakfast. Sadly for Grandma's Kitchen, we won't be back as they made us feel like they really didn't want, or need our business. In my opinion, customer service is extremely important when starting a new business. Maybe the owners of Grandma's Kitchen should understand that they lost a potential loyal and long term customer over something as silly as a $5 coupon. Business must be really good for them despite the fact that the restaurant was fairly empty, However, we wish you luck in the future and hope you won't loose other customers in a similar fashion.

They claim 'all fresh produce and ingredients', and I have no way to confirm this. I can confirm that my steak sandwich was awesome, the kids' eggs, bacon and pancakes was a great plateful (a bit too sparing with the bacon though if it had been my breakfast ), my wife loved her pulled pork sandwich. Service friendly and effective. Owners v. friendly. Restaurant well presented. As good as anything in a reasonable distance roughly, on a par with ventia rea's but with a slightly less interesting restaurant interior. I'll definitely be back! Bit pricey .. brunch for 2 + 2 teenagers came to $57 with tip.

Brought my nephew here for breakfast. The service was fast, the server was attentive and the California eggs benedict was excellent. My nephew got an omelet and ate it all with no complaints. Spent a little more than I would have liked but you get what you pay for.

Good service, fairly large location, average prices but very small portions. The food is fresh and an interesting fusion of American and Mexican diner food. My wife's stuffed french bread was pretty bizarre to read about on the menu consisting of: french toast, turkey, cheese sauce, bacon and strawberry compote. The clash of flavors was too much for me, but my wife enjoyed it. My Grand Ma's country fried steak was a handmade pounded cube steak. The steak was decent but only about 4 ounces which is pretty darn small for a very cheap cut of meat. We also ordered orange juice which came in a nice big 16 oz glass and a good strong cup of coffee. There is a Yelp check in bonus of $5 off your $25 purchase so maybe that is why the portions seem to be very small. Even my wife's french toast was below average in size. I can't say there is anything special about this place it is neither outstanding nor bad but when I hear a name like Grandma's Kitchen I think of big portions of comfort food.

4 stars! Came here after getting a BloodSource voucher for 2 free meals. We had to wait a minute or two to be seated even though several tables were open. No big deal though. The food was unique and the prices are comparable to IHOP, but this is the best choice if you want to skip the 30 minute wait over the weekend. Food came out quick, however we had to hear a kid screaming for like 10 minutes until the dad took him outside. Also, the waiter never offered refill my coffee or water.

This establishment is no longer open for business. I just stopped by and there was a sign saying that they are no longer a business.

We were immediately greeted at the door. The environment was clean, and open. I ordered the California eggs Benedict with a side of gravy for my grandma's potatoes. The gravy is excellent and they give you a huge serving. My boyfriend got a burger and upgraded to the parmesan fries. The fries are delicious. Our server was attentive and nice and the food was delivered in a reasonable manner. Overall, I highly recommend try this place out. Our meal cost $26 so it's extremely affordable for great food and service.

Solid comfort food, with good service. I came in with my husband and toddler for a late breakfast on Sunday, and it was pleasantly not crowded. Comfortable seating for us and the kiddo, too. I had the smothered omelette, and it was great with lots of mushrooms & flavorful gravy. Potatoes weren't my favorite style, but they were well seasoned and crisp. My husband enjoyed his steak and eggs, too. All in all, a solid diner spot.

Looked this place up on yelp and did not investigate the reviews. Here is our experience. Walked in and the place looked slow, ambiance was very dull. I couldn't figure out what they are going for. The layout is weird as well. They need to remove the huge counter that's obviously from some past business that was unable to survive in that location. It took more than 10 minutes to be seated with no one else waiting. It took the server over 10 minutes to check in at our table. The max a server should take is 2 to at least get some drinks going and to greet the table. The food took about average to cook, breakfast food is super quick to cook so it was expected to take a bit longer as they took so long to get things going. The food was eeehhhh. I had the smothered omelette and it was smothered in gravy alright. Tasted OK. We also order pancakes which were good and breakfast burritos which were decent. There's no way this place is above 3 stars. If they don't step up their game they won't be in business very long. Tough to find and eeehhh on the likable scale.

Regretfully I give this place one star today, I truly enjoyed the food the first couple of times we came here, but a party of two should not have to wait 10 minutes to be seated when there are three two tops open right in front of them and they are the only people on the "waiting list". Especially after standing at the front for a couple minutes just to be told we would have to wait. You seat them, get them water and menus, and let them know that it may be a minute as they reorganize after a rush. Left and went to Peg's Glorified Ham and Eggs, they had one table open and crazy busy, but sat us the second we walked through the door and took our drink orders. It took less than 3 minutes to get our orders placed and received friendly service with a waitress that was training another, that is the example to be followed. There is a good chance that we will return to Grandma's, but if we receive the same service as today, it will be the last time. If this is your business model for customer service, you may want to redesign it.

The food was good, but the ambiance was a bit strange and smelled like cleaner. Tucked away, I never knew this place existed till now. May need to go back a second time to see if I can give it another star. The service was good, but we never even think to go here and it's probably the closest breakfast place to our house.

Always so yummy, today we tried the fresh carrot, Orange and beet juice. Refreshing! The Cowboy burger substituted with grilled chicken and buffalo style fries made my day!

Family run restaurant with a service attitude. Food is excellent and they serve a salsa with some of the dishes and it is great. The fit and faire omelette is tasty and healthy. Their grandmas potatoes are yummy. All in all a great breakfast place. I haven't tried them for lunch but would bet it is as good. It is right behind Taco Bell on Sierra college.

  • Jessica D.

The food was pretty good- but the speed was horrible. We waited almost 45 mins for food and the place was half empty. Need to get some organization in the kitchen. Waiting this long for French Toast and eggs is sad.

We checked it out for first time today. It was great. I ordered the California Eggs Benedict and hubby had Grandma's biscuit and gravy platter with house made sausage and we shared a glass of beet, carrot and orange juice that was made to order. Don't go there if you are looking for a fast breakfast, because everything is fresh and made to order with no cans or processed crap, so it takes time. Kick back drink some juice and coffee and just wait! (I heard people grumbly about how slow the food was, oh well!!! Try it at home and see how quick it is???) The location is nice, it is a little hard to find, it's tucked behind a large Taco Bell, so it's hard to see. The restrooms were clean, and they had real toilet paper not the tissue they call TP in most restaurants. The staff is friendly and efficient, very attentive (probably would need a little more if they were super busy, but they did fine). The coffee was good and surprisingly, we were offered a cup to go, never had that happen before, kind of awesome! I highly recommend this place! It's open everyday until 3:00 and their lunch menu looked amazing. It is very nice to have this farm to fork type restaurant locally, without having to go to midtown! Check it out!

I have no idea how the food is. Waited 30 minutes and no one ever even said hi. I will say that the people beside us sent all of their food back. They also were not busy on a Saturday morning!

    (1)
  • Julie D.

Mmmmmmmmm Gooooood! Too bad for Grandmas Kitchen that they are tucked back off the road. I work very near here and kind of forget it's there! Saturday morning my husband and I stopped in for breakfast, and I'm going to remember not to forget in the future! I had the potato pancakes with bacon and 2 eggs. Those pancakes were so good, that could have been the breakfast. They had ham and green onion. Really crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. Not greasy at all, which happens to most hash browny type things. Bacon was also very tasty and the egg was exactly over medium as ordered. My husband had Biscuits and Gravy (which I don't understand why someone would want this, but I know I'm in the minority) and he loved it. Particularly the biscuits. You could tell by looking at them they were different. He reported light fluffy and awesome. Our server said they make them every morning and she has to stop herself from eating one everyday. Speaking of the server, quick, nice, engaging, got a joke, kept the coffee and water filled. The interior feels like it could be better. I'm not sure exactly how, but somehow better. The quality of what is coming out of the kitchen doesn't quite match up with the ambiance. That's a small thing though, will be back for sure. Lunch this week!

Oh dear.. Where to begin. My girlfriend and I went here for the first time on Father's Day for brunch. Showed up and noticed that it wasn't very busy. A lot of tables were available, yet there were people waiting to be seated. Most tables just needed to be bussed. During the 10 minute wait to be seated, we noticed that they seemed to be short staffed. Once seated, we waited another 5 - 10 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. At this point we were about to walk out and go somewhere else. Finally we received our coffee and water. We informed our server that we didn't have utensils. She brought us a couple spoons for the coffee. But no other flat ware. As she refilled our coffee, we needed to ask for a few me packets of suffer. After another 26 minutes to wait for our food, we again reminded our server that we didn't have utensils. We ordered chicken and waffles and a French toast plate, yet we had to request syrup. The food as ok. Chicken was a bit greasy, but waffle was good. The food was not outstanding to say the least. Overall a bad experience and I will probably not be coming back anytime soon.

Have some business to do in the area... Wanted to support local mom & pop shop... In this case... Grandma... Walked in... It was somewhat busy... With availible tables... Several servers walked pass my wife and I... No hello, no ill be right with you, no anything... Stood at the door for another 5 minutes... Still nothing... So we left... Not sure if food is good... Great... Amazing... Or even shit!... Service for sure is down right horrible... But I say give it go.. if you enjoy stretching your legs at the entrance... Bring a yoga mat too.. might be there for a while before you get anything short of a look :)

came here on a friday morning for breakfast to this cute local joint. Service was great and fast. I enjoyed that the food was fresh and good, esp their fresh squeezed beet-orange juice.

  • Andy W.

Food was decent. I had the the chicken and waffles, mom and brother got soup and sandwich, dad had pancakes and eggs and I got the chicken and waffles. Servers were nice. The only downside was the wait for the food. That took about 30-45 min after we ordered.

    (3)
  • Erin S.

This was a quaint little place with good food that mimics coming out of your own kitchen; but WAY less effort. The wait staff is very quick and sweet! We will for sure be going back again!

Food and service were excellent!! However, the interior decor needs some serious work. I was looking forward to the mom and pop feel, and it was anything but that. If they groomed it up a bit and made it feel more cozy inside... This place would be perfect! As of right now, it appears to have an uncomfortable/under decorated Asian restaurant feel to it. Weird.

Had breakfast here today with my husband and we will definitely be back. Service was great. The young girl working was super nice and was really informative when I had questions about the food. I got the California Benedict (no bacon.) and it was so good! The hollandaise sauce was pretty salty, which I love! Others maybe not so much. I could predict seeing an old lady being cranky over the salt. The English muffin could also have been toasted a little more. Husband got the Granny's Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. I have never seen him clean a plate that fast before! He said it was the best, and he will be ordering it again for sure. The potatoes that came with both were awesome. They have definitely perfected that recipe! Remember - you have to pay up front (like a Denny's / Dinner. We sat at the table for like 10 mins waiting for the server to take our bill before I noticed you have to pay on your way out! Haha. Checking in here on Yelp also saved us $5.00. Thanks! All in all, very good breakfast.

The wheels really must have fallen off this morning... been here an hour and still haven't gotten our breakfast... came in at 11:15 and our food was just delivered at 12:19... we weren't the only table this happened to I noticed three other tables in the same boat. The table next to us even got up and asked the kitchen if they were working on their food since it had been 40 minutes. The food was decent but not anything worth the wait. Oh and the real kicker was that the kitchen must have burned something because the restaurant started filling up with smoke!! Like I Said the wheels really must have fallen of... too bad.

What a solid place to have breakfast! So good. Biscuits and gravy were pretty good. Wife had breakfast sandwich and she seemed to like it. Hash browns were ok, could've been cooked a little longer. But my oh my were the pancakes nice and fluffy. Our waiter was exceptionally nice and so was everyone else there. We will definitely make the trip out there again to eat!

Written months ago, but I didn't upload this... First of all, Maria p and joe p are obviously married and came here together. My boyfriend and I just left and we were told by the staff that they were really busy today which is the same day Maria p and joe p dined here. The restaurant was slammed because of their review in style magazine. Sorry, I just hate when people use yelp to slam neighborhood restaurants and complain about every little thing. Not constructive. On to the good stuff! We love grandmas kitchen! Their staff is always friendly and welcoming. They can be a little slow when they're busy, but who isn't?! I'm glad to see they're getting so popular, I want them to stay for a very long time. We come here once a week at least. The boy toy always gets different breakfast items and I always get the same thing: fried chicken! They have amazing fried chicken that comes with mashed potatoes and sage gravy and the best green beans ever! The only downside is that they can run out of some items but everything on the menu we've had is great so it isn't too much of an inconvenience. We haven't had a disappointing meal there and we've been at least 15 times. Go, you won't regret it. But don't take the last fried chicken plate please :)

Love this place. Food is great and the service is excellent. I've been here a couple times and have left stuffed and happy. I am a big critic when it comes to service, but this place gets 5 stars for service and food. I enjoy the variety in the menu. Will definitely be going back again and again.

I have never checked Yelp for local restaurants, so I was shocked when I saw some of the reviews for what I consider a great local spot. The chorizo and eggs are excellent and servings are plentiful. The breakfast burritos (4!) are another great option if you want large amounts of food (or leftovers). I usually opt for the basic (eggs and bacon) which are hard to mess up. They also have fresh juice options now (carrot/beet/OJ). I think the portions are just fine and last time I checked, most of us could do with a little 'less' of our food smothered in anything! Prices are good - the staff is friendly. This ISN'T a CHAIN and the owner is very involved in the business.

I was very satisfied with my experience. Nice clean decor and friendly service. Ordered the Eatyourveggies Omelette. It came loaded with mushrooms, spinach, tomato, peppers and jack and cheddar cheese. Got fruit (canteloupe, strawberry and pineapple) for my side. It was very good. What put it over the top was the homemade salsa.

I think this restaurant has new management and a new menu since I went last six months ago. We have gone back a couple times now and have ordered different items. Everything was exceptional Especially the chorizo burritos, pancakes and the Mexican chicken bowl

First time here and loved it! Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I ordered the California Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken and Waffles, we both cleared our plates! Food was fresh and they live up to there" farm to fork" motto. I usually base this off the fruit too because I could tell it was freshly cut and my vegetables on the Benedict as well! Our server Rosy was very friendly and attentive. I would love to come back and will refer this place to others.

I was hesitant to try Grandma's Kitchen because of some of the reviews on Yelp, but my friends, son and I met there this weekend for breakfast and I have to say I was wonderfully surprised!! The staff was attentive and friendly and the food was delicious! I ordered the Cinnamon French Toast and am now ruined for any regular french toast! It's the best french toast I've ever had! I highly recommend Grandma's and will definitely be back!!!

Courteous, friendly, fast service. Mac & Cheese tasted like a perfected homemade recipe. The "Meemere's Stuffed French Toast" with turkey, bacon, strawberry compote and nutmeg was delectable, but not overbearing. PLUS, when I asked to mix two sides for the size and price of one, the server didn't bat an eye! A great find!

This is our third time here. Staff is friendly. Food is very good. Have had the waffle, the stuffed French toast, the Denver omelet, today going to try the chorizo and eggs. Also had the biscuits and gravy but we both did not care for the gravy that much. Have always come mid morning on a weekday and it is very quiet and pleasant but always several other tables of customers.

Went here with my wife. Hard to find a place here in the west, that makes good chicken and waffles. The gravy was all around good and biscuits where fluffy and moist. Will be back again soon. The wife's food was also good. Staff was friendly and know their menu. Have a ? They can help answer and recommend food off the menu that you may like. A+ in my book!

By far the most disappointing breakfast I have ever experienced, first we had to wait 15 minutes just to get menus in our hand then wait another 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order, when taking our order they were out of hashbrowns and they were out of chicken fried steak, we get the food after one hour, the food was cold and way overcooked. I will never be back

Food was good we just had to wait 1.5 hours to get it. Not sure if they were short staffed today or what but to wait that long for breakfast really wasn't fun. Lots of people left because of the wait. It wasn't that there were too many people waiting either. We will give it another shot as the food was good, but only if the wait isn't like today.

Great place. Friendly staff, great food, VERY comfortable seating, albeit the decor is a little weird. The kitchen is placed in the center of the cafe which kind of breaks up the dining vibe a little bit. Paint job could also use some work (and they just opened too). My husband had the steak and eggs and I had the eggs benedict. Fantastic potatoes on both plates. My husband loved the steak. The holindase sauce on my eggs were superb. I think we prefer Grandma's over Annie's now :)

This place truly lives up to their name: Grandma's Kitchen! Good honest food that is made from scratch and delivered to your table with a warm loving smile from your waitress. 88 have personally been to too many restaurants liking for the perfect breakfast and I have finally found it! Words cannot describe how good the food comes. It's the true quality that you can taste and your plate is not swimming in a pool of grease as well! Everything is plated perfectly, and cooked to perfection. My personal favorite is their country fried steak + their potato pancakes. It never fails. The staff is also very nice and helpful! My waitress Tammy never fails to get you with a nice warm welcoming smile the moment you walk into the restaurant. She is very helpful in answering any of your questions and will make frequent rounds to make sure that everything is just the way you wanted it to be. In a nutshell this place has great food and great staff. It's a win win combination! You can't go wrong coming in anytime of the day, ordering any often off the menu. :-D

The food is real good, always consistent. Love the breakfast burritos. The reason I did not give the 5th star is the service is so slow. You have to wait 10 mins to order, 20 mins for your food, etc. I'll be back, just get faster.

Been here twice. Ordered breakfast first time and lunch the second time. I had the Smothered Omelet and my boyfriend had the Chicken Fried Steak. The omelet was very tasty and fuffy. Definitely would like the gravy that comes to "smother" it to actually smother it. It was little more than dipping sauce. The potatoes were great. My boyfriend enjoyed his Chicken Fried steak. I would say that the portions are slightly less than say Waffle Square but the flavor from the fresh ingredients makes up the difference. For my lunch visit, I had California burger with garlic fries. So awesome!!! The hamburger meat is nice and fresh so I ordered it medium rare. So juicy! The bun was so fresh too. The portion size was just right. The seating is nice and comfy. The dining set up is kinda different. Seating to the left feels a little isolated plus you can't hear the background music since I don't think the left side has speakers. Also, one of the decorations is a menu. The "menu" is at the front and has nothing that they actually serve. My boyfriend was hoping to have the Crab Bisque but it was decorative. LOL Staff has always been friendly to me. Speed of service depends on how busy they are. It would challenging to eat here if you have a time constraint since you don't know how long it will take. SInce they use all fresh ingredients, they do tend to run out of stuff. They ran out of tea on my last visit. The server also named a few entrees that they were out of. I will continue to eat here.

When your kid doesn't even finish more than a quarter of his pancakes something has to be wrong! Rarely does my kid leave much of his pancakes, today he barely ate them. When I asked him, he said they tasted bland. Since when does a 6 year old use the term bland? So I taste them and guess what? They were bland! I advise the cooks there to taste them while they make them. I wanted to like this place but the breakfast was just okay. The waffle I have was good but nothing that I couldn't make at home. The potatoes were really bad. No paprika, not much at all just cooked potatoes. My kid didn't like those either. There was nothing with the potatoes, no onions, nothing? Who does this?

I'm not sure how reliable yelp is if 65 reviewers give an average of 4 stars for this place. Tables were left un-bussed, food was bad and we waited a long time.

Great homemade food that is fresh. I've visited a few times and the food and service is consistently good. You can tell alot about a place by checking out the bathroom. Yes, it's clean! I would highly recommend. I have had the cubano sandwich and the french toast breakfast plate.

Even though restaurant had light traffic people are first sat back at the restroom. Table next to me had children complaining about long wait. Coffee left empty until food arrived. Biscuits stale and microwaved. Gravy bland. Eggs one over easy as ordered one over hard. Bacon cooked well but no real flavor. May give them another try after they gain some experience.

Went here after church on Sunday... I ordered the 'sticktotheribs' omelette which came with an english muffin, and added on Grandmas potatoes . While waiting, we checked out the other Yelp reviews, and the negative ones kind of got my hopes down because of the people talking about the small portions, etc.... But when our food came it looked so delicious!!! The omelette was HUGH! And was amazing!!! I couldn't finish it even tho I tried because it was so yummy! He got the breakfast burritos which were also great and I ate his left overs the next day. Haha. The waiter was super nice & friendly (Ryan?)... I 'checked in' at the restaurant so I received a $5 off coupon. Woohoo! We'll be back!

We LOVE Grandma's Kitchen! Every Sunday morning before church, my girls and I visit Grandma's Kitchen for breakfast. The food has always been so delicious! I cook daily for my husband and girls, so going out to eat needs to be what I would cook and homemade. I love the food and service. Tammy is our very favorite waitress. My girls hug her when they come in on Sunday morning. My little girl will draw her pictures, and each time Tammy is kind and thankful for a child's art. Grandma's Kitchen feels like home!

We came here this morning excited to try a local breakfast joint. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was very disappointed. The chicken was greasy and I just couldn't eat it. But, the waffles were tasty. The significant other ordered the egg white omelette and was satisfied, although admittedly has had much better elsewhere. Genereal consensus: we will keep looking for other places to enjoy breakfast.

My husband and I ate here two weekends ago and I took my adult children there last weekend for breakfast. Outstanding food and service. We loved the veggie omelet, grandma's potates were excellent and so were the street tacos! Definitely a place we will go to often. HIdden jewel in Granite Bay!

It is 10 minutes off the high way but it is well worth it! Great food and service from "grandma" is what you can expect.

I had high hopes for this restaurant. I love that they don't have a freezer and try and have interesting items on their menu. That being said, we were seated on the "other" side of the restaurant, which didn't seemed finished. It was cold and barren, and the servers did not come around often. I ordered the stuffed french toast, which was fine. I enjoyed the potatoes quite a bit. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. It came out and looked almost burnt. It was a very, very dark brown...not the usual golden brown. He said the sausage gravy was bland and had to add salt. At this point, we'll probably give it one more try to see if become a regular restaurant to eat at. I would prefer a smaller place, completely decorated, and covered by the servers with ease.

We tried the pancakes. OMG! Light and fluffy, even better than what I've ever made at home. Now, when we come for lunch, we're going to order a short stack. Sooooooo good.

This place SUCKS from the cold food to the crappy service. Lies after lies and the level of incompetence at this place is ALARMING! How does a place like this stay open. My gosh do yourself a favor and close you suck at running a restaurant.

They haven't had grand opening yet, so this is a partial review. Food was standard, we both had omelettes and they were good, nothing special but cooked well and plenty of fresh ingredients. The server told us they use no cans and have no freezer so that is potentially a plus. The ambiance and decor is lacking, so hopefully this is something they are still working on. The open kitchen is a little odd, especially when I have to listen to the manager? talk to my waiter about his schedule for 5 minutes while I wait for my check. Overall a place with potential but they need to work on some things for sure to be great.

I really want to give this place more stars, but they have some tweaking to do. The food was very good. My husband had the California omelette which was excellent! I had the breakfast burritos which were tasty but 4 small burritos means a lot of tortillas... The ambiance is ok. The energy is really broken up by the kitchen in the middle. We sat on the lonely bar side, our table was right next to the waiting area which was awful! The service was ok. Water and coffee weren't refilled quickly and we got little to no attention. While scarce and stretched, service was friendly and prompt. Although as a 27 yr old pregnant woman, i did not appreciate the server asking if I was a grandma in order to add my photo to the grandma wall of fame. Really?!
